For the Love of the Library fuels funding for materials, programs, services and historic preservation for the Stillwater Public Library. Your support provides opportunities that would otherwise not be possible.

Meet the Panelists
Patti Isaacs
Patti worked as a hydrologist for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources; a designer of informational graphics for many different institutions including the National Geographic Society; an English teacher and technical editor in China; a crew supervisor for the Bureau of the Census; and a project manager for small and large companies, specializing in the management of assets for digital and print media. Sara Khan
Sara is an elementary school teacher in the Edina Public Schools district and author of Eid and the Moon Bangles. While pregnant, Sara started to write her first children's book in hopes of promoting cultural awareness and making the world a more compassionate and accepting place for future generations. Sara believes teaching diversity and inclusion must start at a young age, which is why her book is aimed at young readers. Sara lives in Minnesota with her husband, Sulmaan, and super curious and energetic one year old daughter, Zoya, also the main character in her book.
Margaret Smith

David Fabio
David Fabio is a recognized author and photographer. He has lived in the Stillwater, Minnesota with his wife Sandy for over 40-years. His travels international and all over the US have provided him with unique encounters and experiences that can be found in his writings.
David was a science teacher in St. Paul before working for 3M as a Senior Technical Service Engineer. He was a long-time volunteer for 10 years with the Kairos Organization at Sandstone Federal Prison which helped to bring multi-religion Christian retreats inside prison locations. He has recently published his 14th novel Lost Pine Lake. Learn More
