This year’s Light A Spark evening will include a selfie photo booth, activities for the kids, Brodini the Magician, cash bar, light snacks and a first chance to bid on hand-crafted book holders that incorporate the historic, original roof tiles from the library!
Doors will open at 7:30 PM. Reserved parking will be available close to the library.

Dick Huelsmann Foundation
Major funding for Light A Spark is brought to you by the Huelsmann Foundation in memory of Dick Huelsmann. Dick Huelsmann was a lifelong resident of Stillwater who dedicated his life to serving the community. Under his dynamic leadership, the expansion and renovation of the historic Stillwater Public Library resulting in the beautiful facility that gives unparalleled strength and value to the community today. In 2008, inspired by Dick Huelsmann, the Foundation was founded.
Since 2007, the Foundation has contributed more than $1.2 million to the Library to fund resources outside of the regular budget.

Sunday hours
Summer Explorers Reading program that tracked 135,000 minutes of reading & 438 new library cards in 2022
29 programs & 2,100 attendees last year
Baby & Toddler Storytimes, Art Cart, and the Imagination Station

Monthly art classes
All the Library's newspaper subscriptions
